Amy is the owner of Wild Daisy Yoga. She is passionate about sharing her love of this ancient practice to help others find the peace, joy, and self-worth that she has found through dedicated practice and study. For Amy, yoga is medicine. Her practice and intense studies of yoga philosophy have helped her regulate her nervous system and heal chronic anxiety.
RYT500 - Amy is a Yoga Alliance Registered 500 Hour Yoga teacher, having completed her studies with Lalita Scott of SOYA.
Accessible Yoga - Amy is a certified Accessible Yoga Teacher. She has the knowledge and expertise to teach yoga to those with disabilities and/or movement limitations, to teach folks who use wheelchairs, teach folks in larger bodies, to provide supportive space for queer and trans folks, and to provide supportive space for neurodivergent folks.
Pain Care Aware - Amy has completed her Pain Care Aware Certification, a program from Neil Pearson and Swami Lisa Pearson that teaches the science of pain care and how we can foster discernment, awareness, and fearlessness in people who experience persistent pain. Amy then continued on to Pain Care Aware Advanced Group Applications which certifies her to teach Pain Care Aware Series and classes specifically to those experiencing persistent pain.
Trauma-Informed—Amy received training in Trauma Center-Trauma Sensative Yoga with Trauma Sensative Yoga West. This training, which included 100 hours of training in trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, and meditation, gave Amy the skills and knowledge necessary to integrate a trauma-informed lens into her offerings.
Yoga Nidra - Amy has completed a 40-hour training with ParaYoga on the art of Enlightened Sleep.
Prenatal - Amy completed 100 hours of training in Prenatal Yoga with Your Yoga Flow and now offers Prenatal Yoga at the studio.
Yin - Amy holds a 50-hour Yin certification, studying with Yin trainers Bernie Clark and Dianna Batts.
Amy's thirst for knowledge continues and she realizes the more she knows, the more there is to learn! She is passionate about her continuing education so that she can better serve herself and her students.
Amy offers a supportive space for all. She believes that EVERY body is a yoga body, that if you can breathe, you can do yoga. She meets her students where they are at, inviting them to honour their bodies in every pose.
