Praise

I am grateful and humbled to have received these beautiful words from my students. They have taught me more than they could ever know and I am honoured to practice with them.

Every time I come to a yoga class at Wild Daisy Yoga I am giving a gift to myself. I love the space. I love the community. I feel safe here. The people are very friendly, natural, and welcoming! I have never felt better in my body, even with my bad knee! I drive all the way from Osoyoos because the experience at the studio is so grounding. I walk out of the studio feeling so calm, so grounded, and ready for anything!

-Kathy

In just a few short months with a dedicated practice I have been able to cut my high blood pressure medication by half, movements are easier, and sleep is deeper. The positive atmosphere and the sense of community is what keeps me coming back.

I am a mother of five under the age of 8, and a hairdresser. I stumbled upon a poster for "Wild Daisy Yoga" at work a few months ago, and enrolled in my first class honestly just to get some "me time". Having so many children, and so close in age combined with a few car accidents here and there, and standing on my feet all day, left me with a few "big body challenges". I arrived at my first class with chronic sciatica, diastasis recti, and rotator cuff scarring/shoulder nerve damage. As a person who cares deeply about their body with the mindset that "I don't want to become crippled with age", I've been seeing a chiropractor and physiotherapist regularly for years. I was so nervous going to my first class that my body limitations would hinder my ability to participate, and that I would embarrass myself. I could not have been more wrong. My mind is completely blown. Since starting classes at the Wild Daisy, my diastasis recti is completely healed, my sciatica has flared up only once (I used to crawl into bed with a heating pad in agony every night), and my shoulder pain is 10% of what it used to be. This happened in a matter of literal weeks. My chiropractor for the very first time since meeting her, did not schedule my next appointment. I even convinced my husband to do Amy's videos at home with me, (he's shy, and not the typical yoga type) and he raves about how his back pain is barely there. Why didn't I know that yoga was a healer? Why didn't I know that the "at home exercises" that the professionals I was seeing were actually yoga poses? If you're worried because you can't touch your toes, dont. Even if you can't touch your knees, I promise, the ladies in this studio will treat you with the same respect as an experienced yogi. This last part is really going to take it over the edge for you, and you'll definitely think I'm full of it. Have you ever been told by a doctor/therapist to do breathing exercises (eye roll). I encourage you to try and stay mad at your children while breathing like darth vader (ujjayyi breath) because it's just not even possible. Yoga here has healed me from the inside out, and I can't sing enough praises. Wild Daisy is worth its weight in diamonds. If you're a human, you can, and should do yoga here.

The ancient practice of yoga sounds so distant from today's anxieties and the effect they have on our lives. Amy created a safe haven for all of us anxiety sufferers (We didn't even have to introduce ourselves unless we wanted to!) and showed us the many ways that yoga is pertinent to this modern problem. She explained terms in a way that I haven't understood before and made me realize how many of these very old beliefs resonate with science, culture, human behaviour, neurology, healing; so many things I associate with modern theory and knowledge. And in her caring way, she made it feel so personal. I am hoping Amy will expand this workshop, and I would attend again if she offered the same one; there was so much to hear and process.

Wild daisy Yoga is a gift, a gem, a safe haven. When I walk through the studio door the weight of the world blows away like snow as I step inside. A kind voice welcomes and I remove my shoes, and settle in a space. Sensory delight with perfect temp, cool floors, clean air with light essence of aromatherapy oils and warm gentle lighting. A beautiful opportunity to practice self care and connect with myself in the presence of open hearted community. I look forward to joining in and learning more in this safe and light hearted space. Namaste 🙏

I've been attending Amy's studio since early spring and have fallen in love with not only her mastery in her teachings , but her passion with sharing her knowledge. This anxiety healing workshop was what I've needed for quite sometime and am grateful to have been able to attend. I will continue to share this beautiful studio and my new mentor Amy to all of my friends and to the Universe so she may help us to navigate through some of the troubling rivers that truly exist in all of our lives.

I was interested in trying Amys beginner yoga series but was concerned about my size. Amy encouraged me to sign up by explaining that "Yoga is for every BODY!".  Guess what? It truly is!  Amy demonstrates modifications for each pose and paces her classes according to the needs of her students. Not once did I feel that I couldn't do something and when I walked out of the class, I felt incredible!  To anyone who's on the fence, just go for it. You won't regret it!

Amy is an amazing instructor as a first timer in Yoga she sparked an interest in something I was intimidated by.

I very much enjoyed the 6 sessions of beginner's yoga with Amy - a good intro to yoga presented in a safe environment, by a very knowledgeable and caring instructor.

This winter I reintroduced yoga into my life through in-person and zoom classes with Wilddaisy yoga! It has been around a decade for me of no yoga, raising babies and balancing homeschooling, after my first class I was reminded on such a cellular level why I fell in love with yoga years ago and why I need to bring it back into my life. It was so good for me to take time to look after my body. Amy offered such warm inviting classes with breathwork and poetry,   I was enlightened about stuck places and places that needed attention and care. It was the deepest most real self-love I could give my-self, Time... time to be and feel all the feels. The last three months I’ve been doing yoga three days a week, I have felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over me. I have journeyed with Amy through personal issues, struggles and presence,  but most of all the classes have balanced out my body I feel comfortable in my own skin and mind! I feel lighter and filled up!
This has been such a gift to me Amy, I look forward to many more classes together! Namaste!
