Relaxation and Renewal with Yasodhara Yoga Okanagan

Relaxation brings renewal to the body and deeper, more interconnected reflections to the mind. Enjoy the benefits of your relaxation and renewal practice during this 3-hour mini yoga retreat from Yasodhara Yoga Okanagan - based on the teachings developed at Yasodhara Ashram. Your facilitators are Ryan and Ruth (click names to read bios).

The retreat is inspired by this quote from Swami Radha, founder of Yasodhara Ashram: “Rest becomes an important word whose meaning expands with experience. The body at rest can do its repair work. Sufficient rest allows the body to recuperate from the driving forces of the emotions and the ambitions of the mind. The benefits – physically, mentally, emotionally – are profound.” (Hatha Yoga: The Hidden Language, p. 221)

In this offering, practices will include:

  • relaxation, guided meditations, breath work,
  • hidden language hatha yoga, a practice that works with metaphor, symbolism, and reflective writing to reveal the ‘hidden’ messages of each asana,
  • and reflection, writing, and mantra.

All abilities and experiences are welcome. Bring a journal, pen, and yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothing.
