Breath of Light is a 2.5-hour immersive exploration of pranayama, the sacred yogic science of cultivating Prana—the vital life force that animates body, mind, and consciousness. Rooted in classical Hatha Yoga and the wisdom of the ancient texts, this workshop invites students into a deeper relationship with breath as both a physical and subtle practice.
Through intentional movement, traditional pranayama techniques, and guided meditation, we explore how breath moves through the koshas, harmonizing the physical body (annamaya), the energetic body (pranamaya), and the mental and emotional layers (manomaya).
As the breath becomes refined, the nervous system settles, awareness sharpens, and the deeper self begins to reveal itself.
Teachings draw from classical sources such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Yoga Sutras, alongside a modern understanding of the diaphragm, nervous system, and stress response. The integration of these perspectives supports a practice that is both deeply traditional and relevant to modern life.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and is especially supportive for students seeking to move beyond posture-based yoga into a practice of inner regulation, clarity, and embodied presence.
This workshop includes:
• Classical pranayama practices and breath ratios
• Teachings on Prana, the koshas, and subtle energy
• Gentle Hatha preparation for safe breathing
• Breath-centred meditation and reflection
